There is no easy way to learn how to play Texas Holdem in one day, and the only option a newcomer to poker may cover the way is connected with patience. This approach is good because it was proven with many people, who have already attained something in poker and even wrote some books about that. One thing is to play poker with people, and completely another thing is to play poker with people using a computer. These two are very different and similar at the same time. The main difference lies in communicating, and the rest of it is still the poker.
The poker uniqueness relies on the fact that people play together either at the same table or in the same poker room over the Web. While at the same time all classic casino games are one on one games, where a player is always against the house. The difference is huge, and this point makes poker very different: there is no game against the house, instead, there is a game against other players, and one’s ability to ‘read’ them may become a key to one’s success. Thus, every player in poker makes his or her own assumptions as nobody can see the whole picture. At the same time, because every human is far from being perfect, chances are that this or that player will let something important slip out and change the balance in the game. When all players are equally skillful in poker, there may be a situation of bluffing, too.
